The Most Fashionable First Ladies

So all politics aside, working in a newsroom during this past election has left me feeling very patriotic! However you may feel in regards to parties and certain presidents, the USA has seen many great leaders, and of course their wonderful first ladies! This post will feature some of the most stylish first ladies and some fun looks inspired by them!

Jackie O

I could not start this post with any other first lady other than Jackie O! She has undeniable style, class and worked looks that can be worn today!

If you’re looking for a fun night out look, try a white peplum dress, sheer black tights, kitten pumps and pearls! For a more day (and all out look) add circular glasses, and a pillbox hat!

Lady Bird Johnson

Next would have to be Ms. “Lady bird” Johnson! Her style is so chic and classy that it would be great for the upcoming holiday season!

To capture her look start with this fun dress from Modcloth and add a faux fur stole for a bit of glam! For shoes I love these bow oxfords, and would keep the accessories simple with a white pocket book, and pearl earrings.

Patricia Nixon

I just love Ms. Nixon’s look! The sequined jacket would be a perfect addition to any Christmas or New Years look!

Get the Look!

To get a bit of sparkle into your wardrobe, try a sequin jacket with a fun peplum dress! Add creme and black colored heels, tear drop earrings and a classic handbag to complete the look.

Nancy Regan

This look and color is so classic, and so Nancy Regan! Red is the perfect color for the holidays and Ms. Regan wears this shade like no one else!

To rock some red, start with a fun party dress, I just love the classic neckline on this one! Top it off with a fun vintage style coat, two tone colored flats, and simple pear earrings.

Michelle Obama

And of course no post would be complete without featuring our current first lady (and my birthday twin), Michelle Obama!

Get the Look!

To get Michelle’s look start with a fun floral (but slightly 50’s inspired dress). Add pearl earrings, a necklace and some adorable lilac pumps to compliment the dress!
