Oh how I love The Beatles. So much has been written about this iconic band, that I found it would be appropriate to dedicate a post to one of my personal favorite bands who had a great influence, musically, and socially! Read on to see looks inspired by this amazing band!
Twist and Shout
Oh the early days of Please Please Me, and “Twist and Shout”! From the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, and first concerts in the States, their presence was exciting! This look is inspired by a typical Beatles fan, featuring a shift dress with a peter pan collar, saddle shoes, and of course a bow! For accessories keep it simple with a black satchel, gold and black earrings, and a vintage hair do a-la Bridget Bardot!
Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, has been named the ‘Best Album of All Time’ by Rolling Stone magazine, and features the music of the Beatles concept band, Sergeant Pepper! This album is filled with fun pop songs led by Sergeant Pepper and his marching band, and features the Beatles wearing military inspired jackets in bright colors surrounded by their icons. To capture the vibrancy of this album, start with a faux leather skirt, ad a fun Sergeant Pepper T-shirt, a mustard colored military style jacket and embellished lace up boots. For accessories go bold with pops of pinks and blues with a woven bracelet, ring, and earrings.
Rubber Soul-Norwegian Wood
This look is the epitome of 1960’s and early 70’s flowy, boho chic. To get this ethereal and earthy look, start with a lace dress, add oxford booties, a leather satchel and rustic necklace and earrings.
All You Need is Love
Sometimes all you need is love, or an adorable red dress! This look would be so cute for the holidays, and is super easy to accessorize. Starting with a fun red dress, layer heart tights, and add two toe flats and a fun heart shaped purse.
