Trendy Tuesday: The Roarin’ Twenties

While I’ve always been a fan of the fifties, the golden jazz age of the 1920’s has always been a close second in my list of favorite styles. With the upcoming release of The Great Gatsby movie this fall, (if you haven’t seen the trailer I highly recommend watching it!), aesthetics from this fun and fabulous decade are everywhere! From pastels, to pearls, and drop waist dresses, these looks would be perfect for a Gatsby inspired party or for everyday living!

This look is wonderfully summer like but could easily translate to fall with the addition of a cardigan! This dress from Modcloth has all the adorable additions of the 20’s from the collar, to the drop waist, and the fun button and pocket details. For accessories, try a pair of white leather gloves, oxford pumps, earrings and a tan cloche!

Outfit Number Three

This look just screams summer, and would be adorable for a fancy lunch or afternoon tea! This dress is fun with the drop waist style, feather embellishments and lace bodice. For accessories, try this adorable straw cloche from Forever21 (it’s only $11!), these Asos pumps, and fun bangles and rings!

Outfit Number Four

This beach look is straight out of the 1920’s, from the print and designs to the cut of the suit. I love how this one piece is the opposite of frumpy and can go with so many different accessories! For a fun cover up, try this black and white dress, top with a red bag, black earrings and a cloche hat!

What do you think of the Great Gatsby trailer? Will you be seeing the film? What do you think of the 1920’s trends of this season? Will you be wearing any? Which ones? Comment below!
