Ah the jean jacket. It has long been a somewhat constant trend, having many revivals in it’s popularity, bringing new colors, cuts and dyes. Yet one thing remains the same; Once you have the perfect denim jacket, how is the best way to style what’s underneath without looking dated? Read on for four different looks featuring denim jackets!
Outfit Number One
This first look gets a major update, with the addition of a long peach maxi skirt. Try tucking an ivory colored tanktop into the skirt, top with a teal statement necklace to contrast the skirt and throw on a pair of braided sandals. This look is flowy, and looks like an effortless addition to the lightly dyed jacket.
Outfit Number Two
This second look could be style in a variety of ways, starting with a medium wash jacket and a white lace shift dress. I decided to give this look a bit of a bohemian vibe with leather sandals, bracelets and a killer fringe bag and statement necklace. This look shows that by layering a jacket with a relatively simple dress, you can add your personal style with the help of accessories!
Outfit Number Three
I saw this jacket and knew that I had to use it! I think that the light wash and studs give a bit of a girl vibe, which would pair well with a light pink button up dress, like this one from Topshop. For accessories stick with a bit of edge from white motorcycle boots, a studded bag, and black jewelry.
Outfit Number Four
This last look is a bit of Americana without going overboard on the stars and stripes! This adorable jacket from Topshop has white stars at the top, which would pair well with a flowy white t-shirt, and a pair of maroon cutoffs. For accessories, you could add a peter pan necklace with the stars and stripes, or a maroon ring, or blue bracelet.
