You better buckle up, because adventure calls! Without a hair out of place, the stewardesses of Pan Am take to the skies, falling in love, spying for the government, and look fabulous as they do it. The hit ABC show inspired a Halloween costume in one of my earlier posts, but their stunning 60’s style is even cuter outside of the uniforms! Read on to learn how to add the cosmopolitan look of a Pan Am stewardess to your closet!
Outfit Number 1
Christina Ricci plays the adventurous and rebellious Maggie. A JFK devotee, this girl knows her politics and how to rock patterns with a pop of color!
For this look try a bright pink pencil skirt, pair with a patterned shirt like this black and white polka dot top!
Outfit Number 2
One of the perks of being a Pan Am stewardess, is the ability to visit exotic places every other week! Maggie and Laura, seen above, generally explore the new cities together, and look fabulous while doing it!
To recreate their looks, try a classic polka dotted dress, like this one from Topshop, pair with a trench coat and nude pumps for an on the go look! To complete the outfit add a pop of color with a bright red bag and airplane pin!
Outfit Number 3
About half way through the season, Ashley Greene, has joined the cast as a mysterious pal from co-pilot Ted’s past. She plays Amanda, a wealthy, family friend, who begins to show more than just friendly feelings towards Ted. Aside from her mysterious storyline, her clothes are to die for! This was one of my favorite looks this season, and Ashley pulls it off with the grace of a 1960’s woman.
This look features a black long sleeved top, tucked into a gray pencil skirt with a pair of short black pumps. To complete the look, add a necklace (or several) strands of pearls and a fun pearl brooch!
