What Will I Make Wednesday: Album Cover Art

So this past week was a buzz of activity! From the work for the ever closely approaching finals, to the numerous papers to write I was ready to celebrate something, anything! Luckily enough my boyfriend turned the big 21 this week, and I decided to hand make a present.

When we first met, we bonded over a love of Matt and Kim, and the rest as they say is history. So here are the materials that I used in this project.

  • Two canvases
  • Trace paper
  • Sharpie Marker
  • Acryllic Paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Glue sticks/clear glue
  • A picture to use as reference

To start I printed out two pictures of Matt and Kim’s different album covers, Grand and Sidewalks.

I then started by painting the back drop. So I broke out the trace paper and started to draw the shapes of the buildings to go over the painted back drop.

And here are the results!

There are so many options for different kinds of art, involving trace paper and canvases. From quotes, to album covers and everything in between!
